Desktop X serial number problem

I bought the Desktop X client software ($14.95) and I recieved a link with a serial number. I installed it and it asked for the number. I typed in the number and everything installed just fine. The problem is when I try to update my registration in Impulse it gives me a message that reads "only serial numbers from Stardock are accepted." What gives. I bought it. Are updates not included? Do I have to buy it every time there is an update?

In Impulse, click on the ? in the upper right. Choose teh Look up Registration option. See if the reg code sent works. If not, email support@stardock.com so they can take a look.
